“Difficult Conversations about Difficult Decisions” is a 90-minute hybrid class presented by Valley Caregiver Resource Center. When you care for a loved one with a chronic illness, you and your family will eventually face some difficult decisions. How to start a conversation, deal with resistance, get family members together and make choices; Pros and Cons; Feeding tubes, Ventilators, DNR, CPR, holding on, and letting go.

Objectives

  • For caregivers and family members to think about the end-of-life needs of the care receiver before there is a crisis
  • To understand the options and the pros and cons of different decisions
  • For participants to have ways to talk about the end-of-life choices that will be comfortable for themselves and their loved ones.
